Salted Olive Apothecary was built on a simple idea — use better ingredients, keep things intentional, and don’t overcomplicate what works.
I offer small-batch skincare and home products made with a mix of traditional fats like grass-fed tallow, alongside carefully chosen oils, botanicals, and simple, functional ingredients. My range includes nourishing whipped tallow creams and balms, soothing salves, botanical oils, natural deodorants, soaps, lip care, and more — all designed for everyday use.
Each product is made by hand in small batches, keeping the process honest and the quality consistent. No fillers, no unnecessary extras — just ingredients that serve a purpose and formulations that make sense.
This isn’t about trends or overloading the skin. It’s about keeping things low-tox, going back to basics, and creating products you can use daily without second guessing what’s in them.

A lot of what I create starts with slow herbal oil infusions. Dried herbs and flowers are placed into nourishing oils and left to infuse for 4–6 weeks, allowing time for the plant material to gently release into the oil.
This traditional method creates a rich botanical base that carries both the benefits of the oil and the essence of the herbs and flowers themselves.
Tallow infuses differently because it is solid at room temperature. To work with this, botanicals are gently added to warm tallow and left to infuse over several days on a low heat, allowing the plant material to slowly release its properties before being strained and used in my formulations.
Where possible, I use organic carrier oils and homegrown botanicals, and when that isn’t available, I choose the highest quality ingredients I can source.
The Benefits of Tallow
At the core of our formulations is grass-fed, Tasmanian Tallow — a traditional skincare ingredient naturally rich in vitamins A, D, E and K. It closely resembles the skin’s own oils, which allows it to absorb easily and support the skin without feeling heavy or synthetic.
Tallow is deeply nourishing, helps maintain a healthy skin barrier, and brings lasting moisture to dry or sensitive skin. It’s simple, effective, and works with the skin rather than against it.

My Whipped Tallow Moisturiser is a deeply nourishing, slow-made balm crafted from locally sourced, grass-fed beef tallow. Naturally rich in vitamins A, D, E and K, along with skin-loving fatty acids, tallow closely resembles the oils our skin naturally produces, allowing it to absorb beautifully without feeling heavy.
Each batch is carefully rendered before being slowly infused with frankincense resin, calendula flowers and rose petals, creating a beautifully botanical tallow. It is then whipped with lightweight MCT oil to produce a soft, luxurious texture that melts effortlessly into the skin.
Made with only thoughtfully selected ingredients and free from synthetic fragrances, preservatives and unnecessary fillers, it's a simple, nourishing moisturiser suitable for everyday use on both the face and body.

Massage a small amount into clean, slightly damp skin. Suitable for both the face and body. A little truly goes a long way.
A Note About Nature
Every jar is handcrafted in small batches using natural ingredients. Because of this, slight variations in colour, texture and aroma are completely normal and are part of what makes each batch unique.
Storage
Store below 25°C, away from direct sunlight. Avoid introducing water into the jar to help maintain freshness.
